The Pursuit…

I enjoy the the thrill of the chase. That’s why my goals are so massive! I didn’t realize until recently that successful people move a few steps faster. That’s something I’ve been doing my entire life. I’ve always been that person who walks a few paces faster and talks more quickly than the rest. Subconciously, I’ve trained myself over the years to be faster. If you were to see me walking, you’d think I was running late or had somewhere important to be. The fact of the matter is that I have a purpose that I’m in pursuit of. This pushes me to a faster pace. No matter what I’m doing, I just feel I’m a bit faster. This all changes when I get around my other success driven friends. We all move at a fast pace. When you get us together, we move even faster. Competion breeds champions. Being around each other pushes us that much further. It shows that we all have more left in the tank. We all rise to occasion and the level of pursuit intensifes. Nobody in that group wants to be the least successful member. We bring each other up. The sentence, “In the pursuit of (insert goal or purpose here).”, has simply defined who I am and what I do. Everything I do is purpose driven. I’m always asking myself, “Is this getting me closer to my purpose or goals?” This is a designed checkpoint. It keeps me on track and sometimes puts me back on track. Find your purpose and pursuit it like a lion after a gazelle! The lion has a target and its a competion to reach that gazelle. The gazelle’s only purpose in the chase is to get away. The lion has to eat and it has to provide. If the gazelle escapes it goes back to just grazing, a non-purposful action. The lion is constantly in pursuit. The pursuit is what makes the lion the apex predator on the Sahara(it also helps that it has huge teeth, razor sharp claws, and weighs over 500lbs!).
