You Can Do Anything!

Those who do will succeed. Seth Godin said, “The cost of being wrong is less than the cost of doing nothing.” The perfect time to get started is now! I’ve always had the mentality that I can do anything. At some point in our lives, learning to ride a bike was the hardest thing we’ve done in our lives. We’d fall off and get back up. We’d do this over and over again until we were flying around the block with no training wheels! You have to have the curiosity and willingness to do that a child has. I know that I can do anything, regardless of what I already know. There’s a lot that I don’t know, but I can learn to do anything!

When I started this website, I had no idea about website development, blogging, or social media. I did, however, have the eagerness to learn. I knew I was going to do it, but I didn’t know how. That’s life! I know where I want to be, but I don’t know how I’m going to get there. I’m going to find it along the way through. A lot of success is made on the fly. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. Throughout your life, you will be presented with opportunities. If you don’t think you can capitalize on these opportunities, then you won’t. Having the mindset that you can do anything is everything! Nike’s slogan is so powerful, “Just Do It!” Don’t overthink it, you just have to do it!

I know next to nothing about podcasting, but I’m starting one! In the grand scheme of things, I know nothing about blogs, but I have one! It’s scary going into unchartered waters. Don’t be afraid to fail because it’s better to be wrong than to do nothing. I’m learning as I go. The bulk of learning is built in experience. We learn by doing. It’s hard to put yourself out there and be outside your comfort zone. You have to be uncomfortable to grow! Being afraid of doing these things is a good thing. It’s an indicator that you’re growing!
