Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. In order to stay on the path to success, we have to consistently reevaluate our processes. You have to ask yourself, “Is what I’m doing working?”, “Could it be working better?”, “How can I be more effective?”, etc. I believe that there is always a better way, we just have to be willing to find it. Sometimes, you just have to go back to the drawing board.
If you don’t keep your vision locked on your target, you’ll definitely drift off course. It’s way easier to do small changes on a regular basis than to do large changes every once in a while. Notice how using regular reevaluation takes less time to get to success. That is because it allows you to stay true to the course.
I’m always looking for better ways to be effective. Keep in mind that efficiency is NOT the goal. Efficiency is a side effect of being effective. Strive to be effective and efficiency will follow. If you focus on efficiency, you’ll find yourself taking shortcuts and shortcuts never leave to success. My parents taught me from a young age that a job is not done unless it is done right.
