My Take Aways From A Weekend In Omaha

This past weekend, my friend JD and I, visited Omaha for the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting and EvolveCon 2.0. It did not disappoint! The experiences, knowledge, and connections I took away from it are invaluable! I saw Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Bill Gates, and Tim Cook. I met Tai Lopez, Charlie “Rocket” Jabaley, and so many other influential people! I also figured out what my next steps are with my podcast. I want to focus on interviewing small-town success stories! They really are the untold stories of success! The impact they have on their community is unfathomable!

The biggest take away for me from the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting was something that was said by Charlie and Warren. They said, “Money can’t buy time or love.” Warren is one of the wealthiest men to ever exist, yet he still remains true to the fact that money isn’t a solution, it’s a tool. You can do things with it to make you happy, but the money itself won’t make you happy. Warren also said, “If you’re not happy while making $50 thousand, you won’t be happy making $50 million.” The only thing that changes is the commas and zeros. Warren and Charlie are absolute characters! They’re both really funny! During the meeting, you could hear Warren cracking open Coca-Colas and Charlie munching on See’s Peanut Brittle! After Warren would give a long-winded answer, Charlie would just respond with a simple, “Yep!” These two really are a dynamic duo! Experiencing them is something I’ll never forget.

At EvolveCon 2.0, I listened to amazing speakers and met dozens of interesting people! I took pages of notes, added dozens of people to my network, and learned tactics to help myself advance further. The speakers talked about everything from fitness to SEO! The tools I took away from that event are priceless! Now, it’s up to me to put the hammer to the nail and execute! I still need time to fully process that event! As I begin to process it more, I’ll share exactly how I’m implementing the content into my life!
